Food Safety Inspector Jobs Hagersville Details:
Your job duties will include:
- inspection of agricultural as well as food products for processing to support safety of food.
- Assessment of recipes, formulations, processing production, preservation, packaging and various storage methods of food and its products.
- Evaluation of various practices, records and programs for control systems.
- Identification of food safety hazards with several regulatory requirements.
- Collection of a variety of samples of food products and processing environments to test them regularly.
- Preparation and maintenance of several reports regarding compliance verification.
- Providing technical assistance to operators and parties.
- Conduct of field sampling as well as reporting activities during emergencies.
- Participation in regular emergency preparedness training programs.
Mandatory requirements:
- You must possess a valid Ontario class “G” driver’s license.
- You should be willing to work in odd working conditions.
Knowledge required:
- Knowledge of food safety hazards and various associated risks.
- Knowledge of food production practices like product formulations and quality control methods.
- Knowledge of how to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and operational policies, protocols, guidelines, and procedures.
Skills required:
- You must possess problem solving skills.
- You should have analytical skills.
- You should have quick decision making ability.
- You must possess basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills.
- You must possess communication and interpersonal skills.
